ACTIVATED
ALUMINA
Activated alumina is a porous and highly adsorptive media comprising mainly of Al2O3. In the Oil and Gas industry, activated aluminas are used in a wide variety of applications for impurity removal. For basic dehydration of gas and liquids, activated aluminas can reach -70 to -100 degF dew points. Specialty aluminas can have chloride and fluoride removal capabilities which are often required in refinery and petrochemical applications.
