CORROSION RISK MODELING
Coastal Chemical is at the forefront of corrosion risk modeling. Our corrosion risk modeling capabilities allow our clients great insight into the condition of their pipelines and provides high level data to make maintenance, repair and operational decisions.
UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA AT LAFAYETTE CO2, H2S, AND BACTERIA CORROSION MODEL
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette CO2, H2S, and Bacteria Corrosion Model is different from the UL Lafayette Gas Well model. The UL Lafayette Pitting Model does not account for flow regimes, velocity, or top of the line corrosion conditions. This model was developed with the intention of delivering a pitting corrosion rate based on a water analysis and known acid gas compositions. This model was designed to be a quick check to see if an oil or gas environment would cause a failure due to localized corrosion. The model will compute corrosion rate and will indicate if the pit will propagate or not.

Coastal Chemical offers a full service, environmentally friendly way of improving your system. We offer a program where we take your contaminated fluid offsite, utilize distillation and wiped film evaporation technology, and return the concentrated cleaned-up fluid to your facility.
UL LAFAYETTE FLOWLINE/ PIPELINE MODEL
The UL Lafayette Flowline Corrosion Model (Phase IV) provides calculated data to determine what is actually occurring in the flowline under system conditions—velocities, water wetting, flow regimes, etc. The model also calculates a corrosion rate, which is heavily dependent on flow dynamics, such as velocities and flow regimes, and water compositions. The model was developed at the Corrosion Research Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
