Brenntag expands Oil & Gas market footprint in North America with the acquisition of Rental Service Specialty

The company will strengthen the portfolio as well as increase the market presence of Brenntag [Essentials] in the important energy sector of North America
Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, today announced the acquisition of Rental Service Specialty LLC (RSS), a rental equipment supplier based in Broussard, Louisiana, USA. The company focuses on providing specialty equipment for pipeline integrity and maintenance services in the region and will expand and strengthen Brenntag’s growing N-SPEC pipeline services division.

N-SPEC, a business unit within Brenntag’s Coastal Chemical, is a pipeline service provider, committed to safely providing sustainable solutions for pipeline cleaning and integrity maintenance. The acquisition of RSS strengthens the regional market footprint through further service calibration and expansion. RSS also has industry-specific documentation as well as best-in-class quality control programs for using high-pressure temporary piping and equipment, the benchmark requirement for work on liquid and natural gas pipelines, especially in the growing liquified natural gas market (LNG).

Financial details of the deal are not being disclosed. Signing and closing of the transaction occurred simultaneously.
